SI 2018 03

Tailend notes from Margaret, the editor of Henk and Margreet's blog.

If, like me, you have wondered why the peel on all the grapefruit we see in the DenOudstens' photos is SO thick, check this site:

http://thecitrusfruits.blogspot.ca/2011/08/why-citrus-fruit-get-thick-peels-and.html

Also,  I have a desire to know exactly where people are.  I want to be able to "see" them.  Well, where they reside.  So, thanks to Henk for the map below, I now can look at the top of their SI "home" and then follow along on their travels as they reveal them to us!  If you share in this interest, look at the map and then you can expand the area by using

https://mapcarta.com/Honiara

or, whatever mapping site you like best.

  1. Just to clarify: that's actually a pomelo (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomelo). And they tend to have very thick skin... Very tasty, though!

  2. Thank you for the clarification. I am adding a correction with today's post.

  3. I am just curious, how much elevation is there between your place and sea level? The pictures from your place looking toward the ocean make it look like it is substantial, but the mapcarta screen capture pic makes it look like it is not so much.

  4. Eternal Use Only, LOL!!! Thankfully, we'll need NONE of that in eternity, Praise God!! Hey Henk and Margreet, looks like you're doing just fine, praying for you, dear Brother and Sister :-)
